Writer and photographer, William Fricker, started Goldeneye in the 1980s following a career in publishing. The company, based in North Devon, now has more than 20 years experience of producing UK travel maps and guides designed for the dedicated tourist, cyclist, mountain biker, and walker. The latest product line developed by the specialist publisher is a range of detailed regional guidebooks focusing not just on places to stay or eat and things to see and do but also on other local aspects, such as history and celebrities – thus giving visitors a better appreciation of the region and its inhabitants – and something entertaining to read over coffee!
In 2008, Goldeneye joined forces with North Devon website design agency, Net tecs, to develop the concept of the guidebook further and reach the growing digital audience. The website is designed to provide more than is possible with a published resource and Goldeneye and Net tecs look forward to bringing new information to you on a regular basis as we add new attractions and regions to Goldeneye Net Guides.
