Welcome to Goldeneye Net Guides. The online version of our award-winning Guidebooks and Map-Guides to Devon and Cornwall, The Cotswolds and The Lake District
The website reflects the rigorous selection process that the luxurious accommodation establishments have had to master before they are included in our guides. The same goes for the places to eat, be they cafes on cliff tops or restaurants with rooms.
This website also mirrors the comprehensive nature of our guides. From gardens to country houses, beaches to the coastal footpath, farm shops to farm parks. All are described with their opening times.

Each respective guide highlights the special attractions pertinent to that area, so for example, the Cornwall section hones in on: beaches, surfing, seafood, the coastal footpath, gardens and contemporary art. The Devon section covers: beaches, the two National Parks, organic farm produce and restaurants, nature and wildlife. The Cotswolds pages focus on: scenic villages, domestic architecture, gastro-pubs, “Wool” churches, country house hotels and gardens. And, The Lake District on: lakes and tarns, walking, the landscape, the Lakeland poets, Beatrix Potter, lake cruises, country house hotels and Lakeland inns.
If you are undecided on where to spend a weekend or family holiday look at the regional slideshows and these will give you an idea of the variety of scenery on offer and the special qualities of each area.
Our purpose is to guide you to the best of England’s great regions, be it Cornwall, Devon, The Cotswolds or The Lake District. We wish to make your choice of holiday destination an informed one and your search for accommodation or a restaurant an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
All featured venues have been put through our rigorous selection process. They have all been visited and all are chosen on merit alone and not from advertising revenue. We do not feature anywhere we would not stay in or eat at ourselves and our years of experience in the travel industry mean we understand what makes somewhere a remarkable venue.
We believe this online guide will deliver. So, if you seek quality accommodation, a worthy companion to guide you, and you wish to avoid many fretful hours searching the Internet, look no further than our Online Guides and printed publications.
